As we all navigate these challenging times, I wanted to share a few helpful tips if you plan to pursue the process of buying or selling a home in 2020 and beyond.
VIEW LISTINGS VIRTUALLY PIOR TO ANY INITIAL HOME VISITS
Allow your licensed real estate agent to show you homes or show your home using the up to 50 photos available on each listing initially before that first visit.
A 3-D tour or video walk-through tour is a great way to familiarize yourself with a home. This is done at your pace and helps with the need to visit multiple times or answers those "does it have" questions.
HELPFUL PERSONAL & HOME SANITATION PRACTICES
Hand sanitizer or disinfecting wipes should be provided at the entry of the home and used prior to showing and leaving the home.
Utilize sanitary booties as a method to avoid direct contact in the home.
Air vents should be free of debris and dust and cleaned properly. Air filters should be changed as needed.
Thoroughly disinfect homes, especially in high traffic areas. The use of an EPA-registered household disinfectant before and after showings is recommended. Pay special attention to:
Phones
Kitchen faucets/sinks
Handles
Keyboards/ Tablets/Computers
Doorknobs
Tables
Light switches
Bathrooms
UTILIZE VIRTUAL WEB MEETING PLATFORMS
Your licensed real estate agent can hold web meetings for negotiations, discussions or closings whenever possible. Examples of virtual meeting platforms:
Zoom
Google Hangouts
Skype
Whenever in doubt, follow all general health guidelines as laid out by the CDC to protect you and your family.

Please leave a comment on the above if you have additional sanitation practices that we can all utilize, and feel free to submit a question.
Stay safe!
